With a background in boatbuilding, providing project management and oversight for construction or purchase, cruise planning advice and coaching, yacht deliveries and logistics all regions.

Profile and Experience

Alan Nebauer, 35 years experience at sea, sailing, cruising and racing on voyages to most ocean regions (yacht deliveries since 1986). Twice rounding Cape Horn and is a veteran of the BOC Challenge (singlehanded around the world yacht race). Alan holds the international RYA MCA Yachtmaster OCEAN 200t qualifications, as well as Australian NSW Maritime Master 24 certificates.

With a reputation, acknowledged by race officials, sponsors and the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) award for excellence in safety for mid-ocean rescue and other achievements. A background in boat building, Alan has had input for the development of production boats for the Australian cruising market, both power and sail, as well as one-off projects for new build and refits for round-the- world and trans-Atlantic competition.

  • Yacht and Boat Delivery

    Regardless of the type of vessel or voyage duration, our focus is on seamanship and safety management for a successful outcome, we can help for a short passage or extended voyage of many months duration covering thousands of blue water miles. We can make the coastal or trans-oceanic movement of your vessel trouble free and cost efficient.

  • Sail Coaching

    We can support owners by providing supplementary crew, skipper or navigator able to contribute by assisting with pre-passage planning, familiarisation of equipment and current technology. We can pass on valuable insight to you and regular crew, or family members, to develop boat handling and seamanship skills and confidence. Sail Coaching can happen on your boat or ours.

  • Complete Project Management

    from pre-purchase advice for a suitable used or new vessel, through the process of selecting a design and building a team for new construction, consistent with project brief and objectives. Global Projects have established partnerships with a global network of marine professionals for input, supply and or installation of equipment, from deck hardware, mast and sails to systems and technology packages for the modern ocean voyaging yacht or multihull.
